IVS provided for the last member meeting of VfB Stuttgart. Since last summer VfB Stuttgart is no longer an association but more like a limited company. VfB Stuttgart is a German sports club in the district Bad Cannstatt of Stuttgart. With over more than 44.000 members, it makes Stuttgart the eighth largest club of the country and the largest club of Baden-Württemberg. Stuttgart is most famous for their soccer club. Ever since the foundation in 1912, Stuttgart played in the highest soccer division, except for the season 1923/1924 and from 1975 until 1977. In 2016, after 39 years of playing in the highest division, Stuttgart got send down from the Bundesliga. In their soccer history, Stuttgart became champion of the Bundesliga 5 times and won the trophy 3 times. Stuttgart plays their home games in the Mercedes-Benz Arena, which was built in 1933. In 2017, Stuttgart re-entered the Bundesliga after an absence of 1 season.
It is always hard to estimate the attendance at a meeting. During the preparation of the meeting we estimated around 8.000 participants, which unfortunately became 1.500 participants. Nevertheless we were ready to welcome 8.000 visitors. The meeting was supervised by Wolfgang Dietrich, honorary president of the club and president of the new supervisory board.
